Fossilized hunters and i dig dinso are proud to have for salecolombian copal with inclusions. You are bidding on a huge piece of copal (young amber) with inclusions. The beauty of this piece is in the sheer size of it but it does dozens (if not 100s) of termites (order isoptera). The piece also hasworker termites. True bugs order hetereoptera.
Millipedes class diplopoda. Rove beetles family staphylinidae. Moth fly order psychodidae. Caterpillar order lepidoptera. Mites order acari. This is one of the largest pieces fo copal you will find for sale and it will take centre stage in any collection. This picee is around 140mm tall and weighs 772g. ! This is genuine colombian ocpal that has been aged up to about 16 million years old but most estimates run at about 2 million years old.
The copal has several insects, some of which are photographed here. Younger than baltic amber and not yet gone through the process to turn it into real amber. Is a bit softer than baltic amber but no less beautiful. Measurements around 6 inches atll and 7 inches wide. Condition stunning polished piece.
