Nice star diamond t-6 lapidary circular saw. -made in usa. This auction is for a very nice, clean star diamond t-6 lapidary/gem/rock circular saw. A very well-built saw from a well-respected manufacturer, this one si in excellent shape. It's model t-6, serial 4623, and includes a 6 diamond blade, instruction/parts sheet, a rock vise/clamp, and a home-made mahogany miter.
Featuring a deck that measures 10-1/4 by 11, teh saw is in great shape, with excellent paint. It's clean inside and out, and the bldae runs on a 9/16 shaft in sealed bearings. It has a 2-inch pulley.
There is no slop or play whatsoever in the shaft, and the blade tracks perfectly true. Teh saw body can be filled with coolant and has a drain plug on the front. The coolant drains bcak into the body through four holes in the deck. The coolant previousyl used was a very light mineral oil, so the saw is in great shape with no rust. It's been drained and wiped out, ready to be filled by the winning bidder.
Star diamond recommends a 1/3hp, 1725rpm motor, which would, with the included 2 pulley, give 2775 spfm, the ideal speed for most rock work. Any washing machine or dryer motor will work the motor is not included.
